It’s time again! We invite nominations for this year’s Deborah Vesy Systems Change Champion Award! This award, which comes with a $50,000 prize, is for work already completed, and will go to an initiative which has created real change and impact in the workforce development system.  This will be a competitive process, and we are seeking nominations!

This award recognizes impactful “systems change”, which is not an obvious concept. If it isn’t well known to you, feel free to read this blog.

Nomination forms are available now! More information about the process, including an opportunity to discuss a potential nomination with Lissy Rand, is available on our website.  Nominations are due July 1. As with last year, you can have a conversation with the incredible Lissy Rand prior to completing your nomination, so you know both if your initiative fits the definition of systems change, and how to best write a competitive nomination.  And also as with last year, we’ll have a celebration and announce the winner in October, in conjunction with a Friday Forum at The City Club.

One of the things I’m most excited about with this award is for all us to have more visibility on the important systems changes initiatives occurring in Greater Cleveland’s workforce system.  That’s also something to celebrate!
